Benjamin Bogin

1950

Mr. Bogin was born in Russia and came to the United States in 1906. He attended Columbia University and was a Lieutenant in the Connecticut National Guard in WWI. He worked for Conde Nast Publishing Company for 64 years.

 

Benjamin Bogin received the Citizen of the Year Award for his involvement in many varied activities crucial to a high standard of living in Stamford. He was the director of Stamford Hospital, and chaired the St. Joseph’s Medical Center and Stamford Hospital Building Funds. He served on many boards of community organizations in Stamford including the board of directors of the YMCA, The Stamford-Greenwich Labor Management Council, the Stamford-Greenwich Rehab Center and The Stamford Forum for World Affairs.
