Charles A Judd

1993

Mr. Judd was born and raised in New Haven. He moved to Stamford in 1960 with his wife and family and joined the First Presbyterian Church. Mr. Judd held management positions with Southern New England Telephone Company (SNET). He served as president of SNET Publishing.

 

“The Selection Committee’s choice [of Charles and Jane Judd] was based upon the extensive activities of the Judds, whose 30 years of community involvement and service fulfilled the requirements of this criteria.” Mr. Judd has been a director of the Stamford Hospital and its Foundation, the Stamford Center for the Arts, the Regional Plan Association and the Stamford Community Fund. He has also been an Advisor for the Salvation Army, a director of the Stamford YMCA and the Voluntary Action Center and an associate director of the Connecticut Economic Development Corporation. He was a director and chairman of the Southwest Area Commerce and Industry Association (SACIA), the Stamford Partnership and Metropool, Inc.
