Chris Munger

U.S. Marine Corps

2010

Chris Munger graduated from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis and was commissioned in the U. S. Marine Corps. He served with distinction, commanding operational units in both the United States and Vietnam and attaining the rank of captain. He was trained in jungle warfare and survival, as well as counter-intelligence and naval justice.

After leaving active military duty, Chris embarked on the establishment of a long and distinguished career of public service. He was a special agent with the FBI for 25 years, where he worked criminal and foreign counter-intelligence cases, as well as being in charge of the FBI New York Office police training program. In law enforcement circles, Chris is recognized for his leadership, strong administrative skills and tireless commitment to training, personal development and growth. Currently, he is coordinator for in-service training for the Rockland County Police Academy and is a member of an anti-terrorist analytical group that was very instrumental in introducing significant anti-terrorist initiatives.

Chris is presently chairman of the Stamford Republican Town Committee and is justly proud of his accomplishment of spearheading the GOP’s first mayoral victory in 14 years.

Residents of Stamford for 33 years, Chris and his wife Marge have four children and are the proud grandparents of seven grandchildren. We salute Chris Munger on his accomplishments.
