CITY OF STAMFORD CITIZEN OF THE YEAR

Milton Hollander enlisted in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers immediately on graduating from high school. Being assigned to the Occupation Forces in Seoul, Korea, he participated in numerous construction projects. These would actually forecast his involvement in community construction projects in his future years. At war’s end, he received his honorable discharge with the rank of Tech Sergeant.
