In 1945, with WW II still very much a happening, John Moses, at the tender age of 17 and fresh out of high school, enlisted in the U. S. Army Signal Corps. John served with distinction as a military policeman in Anchorage, Alaska, and then utilized the benefits he earned under the G. I. Bill to attend Union College in Schenectady, New York.
A true specialist in management training and development, John joined the New York Telephone Company and served in a number of positions before retiring with the title of director of organization development.
Evidently retirement didn’t sit well with John, because he almost immediately started his second career, this time with Marriott Hotels and Resorts as regional director of training for hotels in the Northeast United States, as well as in Europe and the Middle East.
John has long been active in the community. He served for a number of years as board chairman of the Stamford Senior Center, as well as holding down a spot on the Board of Directors of the Senior Men’s Association. John and his wife Patricia are long-time Stamford residents. They have four children and 11 grandchildren.
